Stickers and charms: how they add value

Stickers and charms can turn an ordinary skin into something more valuable, or add almost nothing at all. The difference comes down to a few rules that are easy to miss. Here is how these extras affect value.

Applied versus unapplied stickers

A sticker has a market price when it is sitting unapplied in your inventory. The moment you apply it to a skin, that price no longer transfers directly. An applied sticker usually adds only a fraction of its unapplied market value, because the buyer cannot remove it and reuse it. Scraping it off destroys it.

Which stickers actually add value

The stickers that meaningfully lift a skin’s price tend to be rare or sought-after: old tournament stickers, especially from the early Majors, along with holos, foils and golds. Common stickers add little. Placement and condition matter too, as some buyers care about how clean and well-positioned the stickers are.

Sticker crafts

A well-matched set of stickers on the right skin, often called a craft, can carry a premium beyond the sum of its parts. This value is subjective and driven by demand for that specific combination, which makes crafts some of the hardest items to price accurately.

Charms

Charms, the hanging trinkets added to CS2, have their own market value and can add a little to an item, similar in spirit to stickers.
